What Can Fostering Do?
Fostering Can Work Miracles

It takes a special person to foster. It takes a big heart to welcome an animal into your home, knowing they will need extra patience, kindness and care. And it takes a big heart to let go of an animal after loving and bonding with them, once that wonderful forever home is found and you know it is time to say goodbye.

Fostering gives a second chance at life to frightened, hurting, lonely animals. These "before" and "after" pictures show only a few of the transformations FJCAS team members have witnessed, time and time again. Animals who have every reason not to trust, not to heal, and not to love, instead learn to trust, heal and love again when they are given safe shelter, good food, medical care and kindness. Their confidence grows and joy returns to their hearts.
Fosters are not permanent solutions. They are temporary havens to give a hurting animal that second chance to recover and be ready for a forever family.
How the Fostering Process Works, Step-by-Step

Step #1 is filling out and submitting a Foster Application Form.
After we receive your Form, a Foster Coordinator will call to schedule a visit to your home.

When we visit you at home, we'll talk about your availability, schedule, accommodations and other obligations to make sure we know what fits you best. Then, if all sounds good and you're ready to get started, we'll ask you to fill out our FOSTER AGREEMENT.

Step #3: We Support You All the Way!
Opening your home to a pet in need is huge. FJCAS covers the costs of food, medical care and special needs for all our fostered pets. You provide the love, care and shelter - those are priceless.
